Mr. Contractor. Thank you for taking time to visit our website. Can we talk frankly about secondary reinforcement for concrete? At the end of the day, the owner just wants the best concrete he can get, and he doesn’t want to see a bunch of cracks in it—knowing they will only get worse in time.

The ONLY reason steel is placed into the concrete is so it can hold it together after it cracks. It does absolutely nothing to help prevent cracks, and guess what? It doesn’t hold the cracks together nearly as well as 3-Dimensional Fiber Reinforcement can.

The use of properly selected Fiber in place of steel has grown in exponential leaps over the years. The data and engineering are readily available, and overwhelmingly in favor of Fiber.

Concrete Construction
Please allow us to share a few benefits with you:
  • FiberWorx Fibers are Built-in Reinforcement. They come down the shoot evenly distributed in the mix, and automatically fall into place 3-dimensionally throughout the entire concrete structure.
  • While the concrete’s still fresh, the Fibers proactively go to work defending against plastic shrinkage cracks and plastic settlement. They increase the concrete’s tensile strength to help it absorb the temperature stress and drying shrinkage energy over time.
  • As shared, the independent data suggests that FiberWorx Fibers literally outperform steel reinforcement when the concrete is under tension (load).

The best news is, the performance and economic benefits don’t stop there!

In order for steel reinforcement to perform even at its basic level, it has be properly chaired-up; and depending on the type of cracking you are hoping to contain, it either needs to be in the top third, or the bottom third of the structure—or double-matted. All said and done—there’s simply a better way!

WWR is already rusting when it arrives, and in most cases, visibly so. That makes it unsafe, and a corrosion hazard to the concrete it’s going in to. Surely, we can both agree, it’s a pain to store, you need special equipment to handle it, and it’s a Safety ( Cut Trip) Hazard to place properly. Not to mention, a huge time and labor consumer! That’s why, most of the time, it ends up lying on the ground—where it provides absolutely ZERO reinforcement. Where’s the value in that?

You can’t bring the truck in close and have all of the wire in place. Instead, you have to prepare the steel in smaller sections, taking even more time and adding costs!

Why give yourself the hassles and the added costs?! FiberWorx Fibers are safe and easy to use, and outperforms all forms of secondary steel reinforcement. And, it finishes just like plain concrete.
